1952 started as a 24-hour comic, completed over President's
Day Weekend, 2007, but in reality all inking and scanning
was completed at a later date. Lyrics are from the song
by Richard Thompson as sung by Del McCoury. Nine pages total. [Comic site]
This was my first attempt at sequential art after many years
of single-panel comics. A twist on the traditional Hasidic
legend about villagers trying to reach the moon. Pen and
ink, Photoshop. Nine pages total. [Comic

In early 2008, while backpacking through the Cook Islands I got a mosquito-born tropical-something-or-other and had to spend the next three months laying on a couch in Roanoke, Virginia. When everyone got tired of my moping they forced me to draw the following comic. Enjoy. [Comic site]
Each card in this series takes about two years to complete. Card Part 4 is currently in the process of being penciled
in. Card Part 1 was from 1998 and unbelievably bad. Pen and ink.
This painting was completed in watercolors and then remastered
in Photoshop.

Every once in a while I churn out some sketches.
Sundays and Thursdays
A French girl and her mom try to make a home among the various
Jewish communities of upstate New York. Sundays and Thursdays is intended as a full-length graphic novel in four parts.
Parts one and two are now complete; inking will be saved
for the end to keep the style consistent.
The interlude between chapter one and two is done. It will be included in a compilation of work for the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art (MoCCA) Art Festival in 2010. It has not yet been placed in a CMS, but here are the raw images.
These are initial
scans from the first half. Click the thumbnails to see full-sized
version.

Squishables are giant round fuzzy plush animals sold by the company Squishable...which I own. Are they cute? Yes they are.
Toy Design
Plush and knit toy design for Squishable. Knit items are created by a Fair Trade Women's collective in Bangladesh, and many of the plush items are made from renewable soy or bamboo matterials.
